“The State of Justice Reform” was a multi-media digital publication summarizing the year’s major successes and challenges in justice reform. Designed as an on-ramp to the justice reform movement for new-comers, it provided top-line overviews of issues, Spotlights on heroic problem-solvers, a Map to review developments by state, and a Best Of list of movies, podcasts, books, and social influencers. Conceived of and led by Kevin Keenan and edited by Keenan and Emily Whitfield, State Of enlisted the contributions and feedback of a range of experts from Vera staff and beyond. It was the most-visited publication in Vera’s history.
